Michelle Westerman is owner of Johnson’s Riverside and Legacy Event Center in Thief River Falls. Her three tips for people starting a business: (1) find people in your admin team that you work well with and listen to them; (2) no matter how big your goal, keep persevering, because if you set your mind to something, you can make it work; and (3) find ways to build relationships within the community, no matter what your business is. She also emphasized the importance of asking questions.
