A Community-Driven Project Funded by Age-Friendly Minnesota

🔍 What Is This About?

Advance Thief River is taking action to plan for the future needs of residents aged 55 and older. With support from Age-Friendly Minnesota and expert insight from the University of Minnesota Extension, we are launching a community-led initiative to create a Strategic Housing Plan that supports aging in place, diverse housing options, and a strong local economy.

Our population is aging—and with that shift comes a powerful opportunity to prepare our housing, neighborhoods, and services for the future. This initiative will enhance life cycle housing, boost economic vitality, and ensure that residents can stay connected, engaged, and active in our community.

• Grassroots Planning Activities

• Research and Data Support from UMN Extension
