Join Us in Celebrating Manufacturers
Manufacturers play a vital role in the Thief River Falls area economy. They provide jobs, support local suppliers and service businesses, and bring investment into our community. Their impact extends beyond the workplace, helping support families, sustain local commerce, and strengthen the region’s future.
In appreciation of these contributions, the Manufacturers’ Breakfast on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 8:30–10:00 a.m. will celebrate our manufacturing community and feature keynote speaker Neil Linscheid of University of Minnesota Extension. The event will take place at DigiKey, 601 Brooks Ave., Thief River Falls, with tours available following the breakfast.
The event is presented in partnership by the Thief River Falls Chamber of Commerce, Advance Thief River, and Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
A Place to Come. A Reason to Stay.
What brings people to a community—and what makes them want to stay? Linscheid’s keynote, will focus on attracting new residents and building a community people want to call home. For manufacturers and other employers, this topic connects directly to recruiting and retaining the people who help their businesses succeed.
A job may bring someone to town, but putting down roots involves much more. Housing, child care, personal connections, and opportunities to participate in community life all shape whether people can envision a future here. Creating that sense of possibility takes employers, community organizations, and residents working together.
Linscheid serves as State Specialist in Entrepreneurship with University of Minnesota Extension. His expertise in community economics brings a valuable perspective to the relationship between business vitality and community development. Learn more about Neil Linscheid.
The breakfast offers an opportunity to thank our manufacturers, connect with business and community leaders, and explore how we can help people build lasting connections to our community.
