Photo contest

Advance Thief River is sponsoring a community photo and video contest. Photos and videos submitted through the contest will be used to promote the area, supporting the work and objectives of Advance Thief River.

Prizes will be offered for Thief River Falls area photos and videos in the following categories:

  • Family life
  • Prowler Pride
  • Pets & animals
  • Nature
  • City views
  • Business and industry

To be eligible, photos and videos must be shot in the Thief River Falls area (within Pennington County).

The winner in each category will be chosen by the TRF Making It Home Social Media Taskforce. Taskforce members include Rebecca Larson Isaak, Kelsey Brateng, Karen Griffin, Mariah Hruby, Josh Watne, Sean Sorteberg, and Michelle Landsverk. Fifty dollars in Chamber Bucks will be awarded to each category winner. Category winners will compete for the Grand Prize–$250 in Chamber Bucks, with the winner selected by the public.  Contest prizes are courtesy of Sanford Health Thief River Falls.

The contest opens July 1 and entries may be received between July 1 and 31. Category winners will be selected by August 10 and public voting for the Grand Prize winner will be open between August 11-31.
