Move to Thief River Falls, MN

Relocation incentives are available for people who move into Thief River Falls, or anywhere within Pennington County.

Moving to a new location is a big step. Advance Thief River has put together a package of incentives to help make relocation decisions easier. Relocate to the Thief River Falls area (anywhere in Pennington County) and you are eligible for several incentives, valued at up to $10,000.

To be eligible, prior proof of residency outside of the county must be provided in combination with proof of current residence in the County.

Incentives include:

  • Three-year tax abatement on new home construction
  • Six months of free high-speed broadband
  • Falls Under 40 Membership
  • Thief River Falls Chamber of Commerce Membership
  • Coupon book with discounts on clothes, groceries, restaurants, recreational opportunities, plus lots more, valued at approximately $4,000
  • Free admission to high school athletic events for one year
  • Free admission to Northland Community and Technical College sports events for one year (tournaments excluded)

If you relocated to Pennington County in 2023, fill out and submit the online application form to receive your incentive package.
