FINANCING OPTIONS: What’s Out There for my Business?

Join Advance Thief River, Northwest Regional Development Commission, and Northwest Minnesota Foundation on April 19 for a panel discussion on business financing.

Panelists will include representatives from Northern State Bank, Border Bank, City of Thief River Falls, Northwest Minnesota Foundation, and Northwest Regional Development Commission. The discussion will be facilitated by Michelle Landsverk.

This is an in-person event at Quality Inn of Thief River Falls, located at 1060 Highway 32 South. Masks are encouraged and the room will have plenty of space for social distancing.

Questions the panelists will answer include:

  • The financing available through the Covid recovery period was unprecedented. Is there any Covid specific funding still available? Also, are you aware of any grant programs?
  • What loan programs are available for startups? Expansions? Small businesses, including retail and home-based?
  • What is one piece of advice you’d give to a person contemplating a loan application for a new business?

The event venue will be open at 8:30. The panel presentation will begin at 9:00AM and there will be informal networking following the presentation, from 10:00-10:30.
