What started as a small side venture has grown into a thriving, year-round destination rooted in family, community, and creativity.

Klasen’s Greenhouse is a family-run greenhouse, flower farm, and landscaping business in rural Minnesota. Since launching in 2019 with just two small greenhouses, the operation has expanded into a full-time business with nine greenhouses and a wide range of seasonal experiences. From high-quality plants and landscaping services to flower farm you-picks, a Christmas village, and a pumpkin patch, every offering is designed around exceptional customer care and helping people create lasting memories in every season of life.

Speaking at TREK on January 6

Kade and Ricki Klasen will share this growth story as featured presenters at TREK on January 6 from 8:30–9:30 AM. TREK is a regional professional development and networking series that highlights real-world entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership experiences from across Northwest Minnesota. Sessions are designed to inspire, spark ideas, and provide practical insights attendees can apply to their own work and businesses.

This session offers a firsthand look at how a family-run operation scaled thoughtfully, embraced the challenges of entrepreneurship, and built a business that is both financially sustainable and deeply connected to its community.

Youth Voices: Sharing Culture & Tradition

Calling Local Students!

Do you have a story to tell about your family, culture, traditions, or what makes Thief River Falls feel like home? We invite students to participate in Youth Voices: Sharing Culture & Tradition during Welcoming Week on Saturday, September 12 at the Thief River Falls Public Library.

Participants will have the opportunity to share a 5-7 minute story or reading that celebrates culture, heritage, belonging, or community. Five students will receive a $100 stipend in appreciation of their participation.
