Managing a Busy Airport

Thief River Falls Regional Airport is a very busy airport. “We’re actually the third busiest cargo airport in Minnesota, behind only Minneapolis and Rochester,” said airport manager, Joe Hedrick.

In addition to cargo flights, Thief River Falls Regional airport offers passenger flights through Denver Air. Two regional jets, a 30-passenger and a 50-passenger, provide many daily options for passengers flying to and from Minneapolis.

Flying into, or out of, the airport is very convenient. “Being a rural airport, we have the pleasure of a more hassle-free security check in,” Joe shared. In addition, cars can park free, whether parking short-term or long-term.
