Turning Transitions Into Transformations: Alex Nordlund at TREK

Turning Transitions into Transformations: Alex Nordlund at TREK

Transitions are inevitable. Whether you’re stepping into a new role, restructuring your team, or navigating market shifts, how you handle change can make all the difference. On October 7, we’re thrilled to host Alex Nordlund at TREK, where she’ll guide us in turning transitions into meaningful transformations.

Meet Alex Nordlund: Strengths Coach and Identity Advocate

Alex is the founder of Braveheart Strengths, and for more than a decade, she’s walked alongside leaders and teams through times of change. Her passion is helping people to discover, own, and love who they are—and then use that identity as a foundation for better work, deeper connection, and greater resilience.

Her focus isn’t just about “doing more”—it’s about doing better by aligning how we work with who we are. The philosophy is simple but powerful: when we lean into our natural strengths and let go of tasks that drain us, we perform better, relate better, and lead better. And when teams support one another across different wiring, cultures of trust, collaboration, and engagement emerge.

Alex’s work isn’t theoretical. She helps teams reconfigure how they operate—how tasks are distributed, how feedback happens, how culture is shaped—according to real people with real strengths. When the fit is right, everything changes: retention, engagement, productivity, and team morale all get a boost.

Beyond her coaching work, Alex loves connecting with new people, sipping matcha, and watching the communities she touches come alive. She’s also new to the Thief River Falls area, and is excited to share her passion and expertise while getting to know this community better.

What to Expect at TREK

At TREK, Alex will dive into three core themes:

  1. Working with Your Strengths (Not Against Them)
Too often, people try to force themselves (or their teams) into roles, tasks, or expectations that don’t align. Alex will show how honoring your wiring opens the door to deeper satisfaction and higher performance.

  2. When (and How) to Delegate or Resource
Not every role is your sweet spot—and that’s okay. Alex will teach how to spot tasks that drain you and how to resource or delegate them without losing alignment, quality, or ownership.

  3. Collaborating Across Differences
When we work with people wired differently than ourselves, friction can arise. Alex will unpack strategies for bridging those differences, appreciating diversity in thinking, and building cooperation that accelerates results.

When these shifts take root in a business, the ripple effects are real: better retention, fewer people “checking out,” more meaningful engagement, and yes—more fun.

Why This Matters

In an era of constant change—whether economic, organizational, or societal—the ability to respond isn’t enough. We need to transform. And transformation doesn’t come by pushing harder; it comes by working smarter—by recognizing strengths, creating space for differences, and giving people permission to bring their full selves to work.

Bring your curiosity, your challenges, and your openness. Whether you’ve led large teams, run lean organizations, or are simply committed to personal growth, Alex’s message at TREK will leave you with fresh insight, tangible steps, and renewed energy for the journey ahead.

Mark your calendar for October 7. Let’s turn transitions into transformations—together.
