L.B. Hartz Foundation Awards $7,500 Grant to Advance Thief River Childcare Fund

Advance Thief River is thrilled to announce a generous award of $7,500 from the L.B. Hartz Foundation, supporting the Advance Thief River Childcare Fund. This contribution will bolster the fund’s mission of aiding childcare providers in our community, addressing critical needs to ensure that families have access to quality care. Dick Sjoberg, representing the L.B. Hartz Foundation, presented the award, underscoring the foundation’s commitment to enhancing local quality of life.

The L.B. Hartz Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for people within the Hartz trade area by helping to fund vital projects like this one. Founded in 1960 by Les and Betty Hartz, the foundation was created to support a variety of community organizations, focusing on education, healthcare, recreation, and other areas of local need. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded millions in grants to organizations that make a tangible difference in the lives of the people they serve.

This award will help area childcare providers overcome some of the financial barriers they face, such as licensing, facility improvements, toys, playground equipment, and essential resources needed to operate their businesses. With this support, the childcare fund is one step closer to reaching its goal, further solidifying our community’s dedication to ensuring that families can thrive in Thief River Falls and beyond.

We are incredibly grateful to the L.B. Hartz Foundation for this vital investment in our future and the well-being of area children.
