Advance Thief River Receives $30,575 Grant
Advance Thief River is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a generous grant of $30,575 by the Minnesota Humanities Center. This funding will support Advance Thief River’s ongoing efforts to foster welcoming communities through its Welcoming Table events.
Annual Meeting February 4
The annual meeting for Advance Thief River is being held at 12:00 PM on February 4, 2025 at the American Legion in Thief River Falls. Meeting attendees will hear from Advance Thief River Board President, Tony McLean, Executive Director, Michelle Landsverk, and Associate Director for First Children’s Finance, Jessica Beyer.
Childcare Grants Available
Advance Thief River is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity for licensed family childcare providers in Pennington County and within the boundaries of ISD 564. A total of $25,000 in grant funding is available for the first year, with individual awards anticipated to average $1,250. The maximum grant amount per provider is $2,500.
L.B. Hartz Foundation Awards $7,500 to ATR Childcare Fund
Advance Thief River is thrilled to announce a generous award of $7,500 from the L.B. Hartz Foundation, supporting the Advance Thief River Childcare Fund. This contribution will bolster the fund’s mission of aiding childcare providers in our community, addressing critical needs to ensure that families have access to quality care.
Rotary Donates $5,000 to Childcare Fund
On October 1, the Thief River Falls Rotary proudly awarded a $5,000 grant to the Advance Thief River Childcare Fund, supporting the critical needs of area childcare providers. The grant, presented by Rotary President Drew Erickson, symbolizes the community’s ongoing dedication to bolstering childcare services in Thief River Falls.
Advance Thief River Launches Campaign to Address Childcare Shortage
Thief River Falls, MN – Advance Thief River is proud to announce the launch of a fundraising campaign aimed at raising $100,000 to support and revitalize the local childcare ecosystem. The campaign has already garnered significant support, with generous contributions of $10,000 from the Dondelinger Foundation and $7,500 from the Hartz Foundation.
